BREATH WORKSHOP WITH THE FRANKLIN METHOD

Join Katie McNamara, certified Pilates instructor and Franklin Method practitioner, as she leads this workshop:

Breath is life. Breath is energy. It works to regulate, stimulate, and calm the nervous system. It is one of the underlying roots of our well-being that we often take for granted.

In this workshop, you will learn about breath anatomy and directional flow, highly informed by the Franklin method. We will then practice breath both in the Pilates method and in the Yoga tradition. You will come to understand breath techniques that you can use in your daily practice (even in the car!). Most importantly, we will use a playful mind to allow for the deeper organic practice to flow through!

WHEN:
Sunday, February 1, 2026
12:00 PM - 1:30 PM

WHERE:
Providence Pilates Center
5 Lincoln Avenue, Providence, RI
Tower Space

COST: $60

“Pilates has taught me so much about my body, my mind, my physical connections, and it goes way beyond that. It really is a lifestyle. It's something that is part of me. It's with me, it's not just an hour workout or a day of work that I come and do and go, and it's gone. It's, it's who I am at this point, you know? And it embraces everything that I, that I do.”
